Its been 10 years sence the wielder of of the elements has been slain, drowned in toxic waste by an enemy, the planet is now in the care of the late wielders keepers, (Kwame) master of earth, (Wheeler) With the power of fire, (Linka) Controller of the winds, (Gi, the wife of Kwame) with the power of water at her command... and (Ma-Ti) the most powerfull of all five with the pwoer to controll will itself.

Each of them holds control of a section of the globe protecting it from those that would try to harm the lands that were once guarded by their beloved saviour
